Harness the strength of the world’s greatest buildings

Skilled Strength

Fortified Subcontractors are experienced using pozzolanic concrete, providing you legendary strength, timeless resilience, lower carbon, and cost savings compared to conventional concrete.

  • We check that the concrete mixes listed on Fortify Fleet consistently exceeded the engineer’s strength requirements, as verified by post-pour laboratory testing.

  • We verify listed mixes contain pozzolans, which create strength-enhancing chemical reactions that fill concrete voids and resist the deleterious affects of corrosive coastal soils.

  • Fire-scarred soils are highly corrosive, particularly in coastal areas where existing conditions amplify the effects of sulfates and chlorides released from the combustion of construction materials like gypsum and PVC piping. However, pozzolan concrete, renowned for its exceptional durability, is the perfect type of concrete to use in these harsh, corrosive environments.

  • Swapping out energy-intensive Portland cement with pozzolanic materials like fly ash, slag, natural pozzolans, silica ash, rice husk ash and more, can reduce the carbon footprint by over 50%.

  • Pozzolan-enhanced concrete can save project owners and builders thousands of dollars because the production of pozzolans is less energy-intensive than Portland cement.

Our Process

We’ll deliver you a Fortified bid package that includes three important documents.

We verify that a subcontractor’s pozzolan enhanced concrete mixes exceed engineers’ strength requirements—while costing no more than conventional concrete—giving builders the confidence to hire them.

  • We’ll review and then stamp the Fortified Subcontractor’s bid to ensure it includes pozzolan-enhanced concrete for your project.

  • We’ll review and then stamp the mix design to ensure it complies with the Santa Monica Low-Carbon Concrete Code (LCCC), or another applicable low-carbon code.

  • We’ll include a Mix Cost Verification Sheet with your bid package to ensure that the pozzolanic concrete costs no more than conventional concrete.
